What do I do if I see incorrect data on my credit report?

If you see incorrect data on your credit report, you can request for data correction. Please contact our Customer Service team or email [email protected] to request data correction.


Why are there differences in the credit reports provided by different Credit Reference Agencies?

NOVA is a Selected Credit Reference Agency under Credit Data Smart. Our credit report is generated based on the data available on Credit Reference Platform (CRP) *, statistical models of credit score and additional data (such as bankruptcy records and public records).

Variations in credit report content and credit scoring are expected due to diverse data sources and credit scoring standards of different Credit Reference Agencies.

Should you have any inquiries, please contact our Customer Service team or email [email protected] to request data correction.*The CRP is owned by the Industry Associations and operated by the Credit Reference Platform Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited as the Platform Operator.


Who else has access to view credit report?

In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, we will only provide access to consumers, credit providers, or designated individuals to view credit reports that ensure the confidentiality and privacy of personal data. For instance, we may disclose credit reports or pertinent information to authorized individuals or organizations as court orders require.


Can I request a free copy of my credit report?

As a consumer, you can request a free credit report from us once every 12 months to verify the accuracy of your credit information.

If you have been denied credit by a credit provider (such as for a personal loan or credit card) within the past 30 days, you can get receive a free credit report from us upon request.

You can apply to access your credit report through the following methods:

  1. Contact our Customer Service team to schedule an appointment. Upon visiting our Customer Service Centre, bring valid identity documents (e.g. HKID or passport) and/or the credit rejection letter to complete the application in person;
  2. You can download the NOVA PASS mobile app, and after a successful registration, you can access to your credit report through NOVA PASS.


How can I access to my credit report?

As a consumer, you can apply for access to your credit report. Please consider the following methods:

  1. Contact our Customer Service team to schedule an appointment. Upon visiting our Customer Service Centre, bring valid identity documents (e.g. HKID or passport) to complete the application in person;
  2. You can download NOVA PASS mobile app, and after a successful registration, you can access to your credit report through NOVA PASS.
