Nova TRINE is awarded by etnet FinTech Awards 2019 as Outstanding Intelligent Risk Analytics (A.I.) Solution

In the digital era, financial crime detection is always a top priority for financial institutions. As an innovative, technological advanced initiative, Nova’s TRINE has been awarded the “Outstanding Intelligent Risk Analytics (A.I.) Solution” by etnet FinTech Awards 2019. Eric Tsang, Nova Credit’s Chief Business Engagement Officer and Elizabeth Kwong, Nova Credit’s Principal, Risk Analytics Solution attended the Award presentation ceremony at the HKEX Connect Hall on 17 Jan 2019.

TRINE is a machine learning model developed by Nova Credit. It uses a diverse variety of learning algorithms to achieve better predictive and detection analytics than any single learning algorithm. TRINE identifies abnormal behaviors and patterns efficiently, enabling early alert and management of suspected financial crime.

Eric Tsang, Nova Credit’s Chief Business Engagement Officer said, “We are honored that TRINE is awarded by etnet FinTech Award 2019. Last year, one of the note-issuing banks in Hong Kong has implemented TRINE for credit card application fraud risk analysis and risk identification. We are proud of the result and its effectiveness in analyzing risk behaviors associated with credit losses, which helps the bank to better optimize its fraud detection.”

FinTech Awards 2019 is organized by ET Net Limited. FinTech Awards 2019 is the third consecutive year of the Award since its launch in 2017. There are various award categories for corporates and tertiary students. All awards are selected by the Judging Panel in their corresponding categories.
